  1. Good morning,

I try to buy tickets for Szechenyi for 29, 30 or 31 December but they are sold out. Is it possible to get in if I leave early and stand in line? Is there a resale point?

    Thank you very much,

    Regards,

    • Dear Silvia,

Thank you for your inquiry about services between Dec 24, 2019, and Jan 07, 2020 in the baths. While we normally would recommend online bookings to secure your appointments or entries, during the Winter Festive Season (Christmas and New Year – Dec 24 – Jan 7) the city attracts half a million extra tourists, which makes online fast track tickets to Szechenyi Baths and Gellert Spa simply non-fast track, and ticket holders are often held back in the – otherwise peaceful and expectant – crowds gathering around the entrances. Hence the managerial decision was made that no fast track entries or cabins (changing cubicles) are sold during the festive days, with the notable exception of the pre-NYE night party tickets, which will be bookable for December 30 as usual in Szechenyi Baths. Guests of day time visit will be checked in on a first-come-first-served basis. Unfortunately, we expect long queues due to the increased demand, even long lines in the cold. 3. Greetings, inquiring why we are unable to book during January 2-7, 2020?

    • Hi Aimee,
Fast Track Tickets are not sold during the festive season (between Dec 24, 2019, and 7 Jan 2020) based on a managerial decision.
You can purchase the tickets on the spot at the cashier. During the first few days of January there is a high amount of tourists visiting Budapest city making it very challenging to manage fast track access to the baths. But the baths will be open.

We kindly recommend showing up early, possibly between 6 am and 8 am, or on a later day of January (Jan 1-4 attract far more tourists than later days in Jan), because tickets will be sold on a first-come-first-served basis.

Can u send me my ticket by email?

    • Hi Marcus,
Could you please send us an email to info [at] budapestbaths (dot) com, as we cannot find your name / family name nor the email address in our system.
