Medical conditions

Infectious skin diseases, non-infectious but strikingly visible skin diseases, or skin conditions that are worsened by thermal waters, heart problems and high blood pressure are contraindication (not recommended / allowed) in Budapest Baths.
Please always check the official house rules and bath policy to make sure a visit to the bath in Budapest is not contraindicated or disallowed.
Consult with a doctor before visiting a spa if you have any of the health conditions above. We are not able yo give medical advice, but we are more than happy to provide any necessary information you may need for an informed decision.
Visiting the baths is NOT allowed / recommended in case of:
  • High temperature
  • High blood pressure
  • Cardiovascular conditions
  • Infectious skin diseases
  • Varicose veins
Please consult your doctor, if you are expecting a baby (in Pregnancy, please see below), if you have a known allergy or suffer from a medical condition such as high blood pressure, diabetes or have had cancer within the last 5 years. Open wounds are not allowed in the bath, neither is the bath available for patients recovering from recent surgeries. Waterproof (covered) plaster is accepted with limitations at the guest’s own responsibility.
We kindly ask you to inform us of any condition we should know, prior to making your reservation if your medical condition suddenly and dramatically changes after your booking has been made.
For obvious reasons the bath reserves the right to view a doctor’s letter prior to entering the Spa or providing a treatment at the Medical Spa, and, if necessary, to refuse the treatment on medical grounds or ask that you sign a disclaimer.
