Budapest welcomes her thermal baths visitors during the winter season, including the Christmas holidays.
Booking for the festive period (Dec 23 – Jan 7) is expected to open from mid or late November. Kindly check back approx. 1 month before your planned date of visit when the days open in the booking calendar for the period Dec 23 – Jan 7.
Dec 25 in the Thermal Baths of Budapest
Planned Opening Hours:
Gellert, Lukacs, Rudas and Szechenyi Baths are normally open from 10 am to 8 pm on Dec 25, Christmas Day. During the shortened opening hours there will be many guests queuing to get in with increased waiting times of 30 to 90 minutes in the winter weather: thank you for your patience in advance.
The other baths remain closed. Kindly note that some of the thermal baths in Budapest may have temporary or large scale maintenance works (e.g. Kiraly Baths or Gellert Spa) at a given time of the year. Please make sure to check the updated opening times before making your visit.
The thermal department of Rudas Bath is open for visitors of both sexes. Night bathing is not held on the festive days.
Between 24 and 26 December, baths are operating with weekend prices.
