  1. Are you able to just buy tickets for entrance when you are there or do you have to pre book? I don’t want any treatments just want to come for a couple hours.

    • Hello Rosiemay,
yes, it is possible to buy entries upon arrival at the cashiers too.
As there are long queues we recommend the online bookings so you will be able to skip the main queue. Hope we can welcome you at Szechenyi Spa Baths!

  2. I have bought a ticket for the Szechenyi baths and got an email from paypal but not the ticket itself. I checked spam, also. Where do I find my ticket?

Hi! What are temperature in the baths? They are different, right? Some hot, some cooler…Please, give me numbers in Celsius.

  4. If you don’t want to use the baths are there shops at the site? And if so do I need to purchase tickets for baths in order to shop

    • Hello Joe,
you can visit the main hall of the baths, and have a look around in the main hall (not in the pool areas though) without purchasing a bath ticket, the building and its surroundings are worth a visit, and you can walk around in the City Park where Szechenyi Spa Baths is located, with such attractions nearby as the Vajdahunyad Castle, the Art Nouveau Zoo buildings, the Budapest Circus.

Shops are on the site indeed, but these are more like market stalls, tiny gift shops in the main hall, which you can visit free of charge (again, the large indoor areas are not free to visit, only the main hall at the entrance, where the cashiers and stalls are located.)

If you wish to enter the baths without bathing we can recommend the short 20 minute guided tours in the thermal baths, or buy a so called ‘Visitor Ticket’ in Szechenyi Baths. More information here:

We will soon launch our Baths tours presenting the history of Budapest Baths, visiting several baths along the river Danube.
If you wish to be notified about this upcoming tour (does not include Szechenyi Baths on its route I’m afraid) please drop us an email, and we will keep you posted.

Hello, we will visit the Szecheny Baths this thursday. Is it possible to have something to eat in between the baths?

    • Hello Petra, yes there is a cafeteria in Szechenyi Baths, if you get hungry, offering simple comfort food, cold snacks, and hot/cold drinks. Also, you can bring your own food to the thermal baths (no glass bottles allowed). Enjoy your Budapest holiday!
